In a concerted effort to curb crime and enhance public order, Cyprus Police conducted extensive patrols across urban areas last night. The operations led to the arrest of ten individuals for various offenses including illegal property entry, possession of burglary tools, drugs, assault against an officer, carrying offensive weapons, and driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, during nighttime operations, 510 vehicles and 639 individuals were checked, and 39 property checks were completed, resulting in five complaints.

Throughout the night, traffic checks led to 375 citations related to various traffic violations, including 117 for speeding. Preliminary narcotests resulted in two cases of driving under the influence of drugs. The intensified policing measures aim to continue safeguarding the citizens and maintaining public order through targeted checks and proactive operational actions.
