In a coordinated operation in Limassol, 34 individuals were detained, including 20 for illegal stay and 14 for illegal employment at three different employers. The arrested workers and their employers are to face justice for illegal employment charges. The three employers were also fined a total of €42,000.

Authorities have initiated deportation procedures for the 20 individuals found staying illegally in Cyprus, aiming to return them to their countries of origin. This crackdown reflects ongoing efforts by the Police and the Migration Sub-Ministry to combat illegal migration and employment on the island.

The police have stated that such operations continue daily as part of their commitment to uphold immigration laws and prevent unlawful labor practices in the Republic of Cyprus.
