A 23-year-old food delivery rider was violently attacked by three unidentified individuals in Limassol early Wednesday morning. The victim was cycling on Omonias Avenue around 1:30am when the group demanded he hand over the food he was carrying. After he refused, they assaulted him with hands, an iron object, and one stabbed him in the abdomen with a knife. The attackers stole €150 in cash and fled the scene.

The injured rider was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where he was treated for multiple abrasions, swelling to his right eye, and a superficial wound to his left abdomen. During the investigation, authorities discovered he was residing illegally in the Republic and arrested him for this offense. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department continues to investigate the robbery incident.
