👮 Man Wanted for Stabbing Wife and Mother-in-Law in Strovolos Remains at Large
A 35-year-old man remains at large after stabbing his wife and mother-in-law at their home in Strovolos last Saturday. Both victims, aged 38 and 58, were seriously injured but are now out of danger and under guard at Nicosia General Hospital. The suspect had been wanted since last February for a previous domestic violence case but had evaded capture.
CID Nicosia is intensifying its search, deploying police patrols across multiple locations where the suspect may be hiding. Authorities have also informed the Bi-Communal Committee to facilitate his apprehension if found in occupied areas. The victims have yet to provide detailed statements about the incident or the suspect's whereabouts.
The wife had the “ELPIS” domestic violence app installed on her phone but did not activate its panic button during the attack. Investigators are working to clarify the circumstances and motives once the victims are able to speak.
