A 58-year-old man is in critical condition at Nicosia general hospital after being struck by a car while walking on a road in the Troodos mountain village of Orounda. The incident occurred around 9.15pm on Tuesday when the victim was hit by a vehicle driven by a 69-year-old man. Both individuals were transported by ambulance to the hospital. The driver was later discharged, but the pedestrian remains in intensive care. Police have launched an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
