🧒 University of Limassol Celebrates 2026 Graduates and Honors Founding Rector

The University of Limassol held its annual graduation ceremony on June 26, 2026, celebrating the successful completion of studies for its latest cohort of graduates. A significant milestone was the graduation of the first students from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, alongside those completing distance learning programmes, highlighting the university's ongoing expansion.

Labour Minister Marinos Moushouttas, representing President Nikos Christodoulides, praised the transformation of the Cyprus International Institute of Management into the University of Limassol, noting its emphasis on innovation, technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. Rector Professor Theodore Panayotou encouraged graduates to uphold strong ethical values as they apply their knowledge in society.

The ceremony also featured the conferment of the titles of Founding Rector and Professor Emeritus to Professor Panayotou, recognizing his pivotal role in establishing and shaping the university and marking 50 years of academic service. The event underscored UoL's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the development of socially responsible graduates.
