On Monday evening, a block of flats in Limassol was evacuated after two balconies collapsed and fell onto a parked car below. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. The civil defence confirmed that 35 families were safely removed from the building as a precaution. Limassol district governor Yiannis Tsouloftas ordered the immediate evacuation of the building due to safety concerns. Authorities are working on providing temporary accommodation for the displaced residents while inspections and repairs are carried out to ensure the building's safety.
