📰 Final Day to Rescan TVs as Cyprus Private Channels Switch to New Frequencies
Cyprus’ Department of Electronic Communications has announced that today is the last day for viewers to rescan their television sets. This action is necessary as private television channels transition fully to new broadcast frequencies. Starting Wednesday, private stations will only be available on channels 35 and 48, using the DVB-T2 broadcasting standard.
The department has urged citizens to rescan their TVs or set-top boxes immediately to avoid any interruption in service. To assist viewers with the rescan process or address any technical issues, a dedicated service center is available at the phone number 22 00 07 37.
This change aims to enhance broadcast quality and ensure a seamless viewing experience as Cyprus updates its television infrastructure.
