🌴 Pasyxe to Hold Annual Meeting in Nicosia Marking 90th Anniversary and Leadership Election
The Cyprus Hotelier’s Association Pasyxe is set to hold its annual general meeting on July 7 in Nicosia, coinciding with its 90th anniversary. The meeting will include elections for the new board of directors for the 2026-2029 term, with outgoing president Thanos Michaelides handing over the leadership. President Nikos Christodoulides will address attendees amid regional challenges impacting the tourism sector.
Michaelides is expected to review the 2025 tourism performance, discuss the implications of the Middle East crisis, and emphasize the need for a strategic roadmap to enhance Cyprus’s tourism competitiveness. Proposals aimed at upgrading the island’s tourism product will also be presented.
In addition to the leadership election, Pasyxe will honor longstanding member families and present an honorary distinction to the Church of Cyprus, recognizing its contribution to tourism development. Archbishop Georgios is anticipated to receive the award, with government officials, diplomats, and business leaders expected to attend the event.
