Cyprus’s defence sector made a strong impression at the Eurosatory international defence exhibition in Paris, where 15 Cypriot companies showcased cutting-edge technologies spanning land, sea, air, and cyber domains. Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas noted a growing presence each year, highlighting the expanded Cyprus pavilion and the country’s increasing visibility at one of the world’s premier defence events. The exhibition also facilitated the signing of cooperation agreements and fostered partnerships with international defence groups.
Cyprus’s defence industry demonstrated a wide array of capabilities, including unmanned aerial vehicles, counter-drone technologies, autonomous maritime systems, artificial intelligence applications, and satellite communications. Firms such as ADDITESS, CELLOCK, and CYRIC presented advanced solutions for border management, AI-driven defence platforms, and IoT-based sensors, reflecting a broad industrial base moving from research and development to operational deployment within the National Guard.
This growing industrial ecosystem positions Cyprus as an emerging player in high-tech defence markets. The visibility at Eurosatory contributes to enhancing Cyprus’s defence and diplomatic profile, with several of the exhibited systems already integrated into national security operations, signaling strengthened international collaboration and expanded technological capacity.
