👮 Drunk driver hits five vehicles on Limassol coastal road, arrested after breathalyser test

In the early hours of Monday morning, a 38-year-old drunk driver caused a multi-vehicle crash on Limassol’s coastal road near the Molos area. At around 6:20am, the driver lost control of his car while heading east, hitting the rear of one vehicle before striking a parked car and two more vehicles. The car then mounted the pavement, damaging protective bollards and an EAC pole before stopping in the middle of the road.

The driver tested positive on a preliminary breathalyser check and was taken to Limassol Traffic Police headquarters. Authorities plan to arrest him under a court warrant and present him before Limassol District Court, where a remand order is expected to be sought. No information has been released regarding any injuries resulting from the incident.
