🌍 Lidl Cyprus Launches Environmental Responsibility Campaign for World Environment Day

Lidl Cyprus has relaunched its "The bigger you are, the greater your responsibility" campaign to mark World Environment Day, emphasizing that environmental protection requires consistent, everyday commitment. The campaign highlights Lidl Cyprus’ ongoing efforts to safeguard nature through various initiatives, partnerships, and educational programs.

Since 2021, Lidl Cyprus has collaborated with the AKTI Project and Research Centre on Project Zero, which has resulted in the collection of 17.8 tonnes of refuse during numerous coastal and seabed clean-ups. The company also supports environmental education through the Mind REset program, training nearly 16,500 students in circular economy principles and encouraging innovation to reduce food waste.

In addition to hands-on clean-ups involving over 5,200 volunteers, Lidl Cyprus operates sustainably by using 100% green electrical energy since 2022 and expanding photovoltaic systems across its facilities. The company stresses that environmental responsibility is a continuous, collective effort that extends beyond a single day, reflecting its commitment to active, measurable impact on Cyprus’ environment.
