👮 Couple detained over aluminium frame thefts in Limassol burglaries
A 46-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman have been remanded in custody for five days by the Limassol District Court on suspicion of carrying out two burglaries involving aluminium frame thefts in the Limassol district. The pair allegedly removed aluminium frames from windows and doors, leaving the glass panes behind. The first burglary occurred at a holiday home in Moniatis, where sliding aluminium doors, windows, shutters, and air conditioning compressors were stolen. The second incident involved a disused restaurant in Alassa, where six aluminium windows were taken.
CCTV footage helped identify the suspects, both of whom are known to authorities for similar offences. They were located and detained following arrest warrants. During questioning, they exercised their right to silence. Police are continuing their investigation and plan searches to recover the stolen items.
