The Cyprus Police conducted a large-scale operation today targeting illegal immigration and unlawful stay in the Republic's territory. The exercise, carried out by the provincial unit of the Aliens and Immigration Service (AIS) in Nicosia, began at 6:00 a.m. and lasted until noon. During the operation, a total of 35 individuals were checked, resulting in the arrest of seven foreign nationals for illegal stay. The detainees have been taken into custody, and repatriation procedures are underway. This latest action continues the efforts of the police to combat illegal immigration crimes within Cyprus.
