CYPRadar 🇨🇾👮 Police Conduct Nationwide Operations Leading to 10 Arrests in One Night
The Cyprus Police intensified their presence and actions nationwide last night through organized patrols targeting key urban areas. These efforts aimed to prevent serious crimes, maintain public order, and enhance the community's sense of security. As a result, 10 individuals were arrested for offenses including illegal possession of property, unauthorized stay, failure to appear in court, assault on police officers, illegal possession of drugs, and knife-related incidents.
During the operations, 573 drivers and 143 passengers were stopped and checked, while 37 premises inspections resulted in six complaints for various violations. Traffic checks led to 283 citations for different infractions, including 93 speeding violations, and six vehicles were confiscated. Additionally, 91 alcohol tests yielded two offenses, and two drivers tested positive on preliminary drug screenings.
These policing operations continue daily with increased presence and targeted actions to prevent and curb crime, aiming to protect citizens and uphold public order throughout Cyprus.
