On June 24, 2026, the Cyprus Institute (CyI) launched CyCEM – Insights, a new online platform designed to improve access to data on the Cyprus Competitive Electricity Market. The platform consolidates publicly available information across various energy markets, including the Forward Market, Day-Ahead Market, and balancing markets, in a clear and user-friendly interface.

CyCEM – Insights offers users visualizations, summary metrics, and exportable datasets covering electricity prices, trading volumes, generation mix, renewable energy shares, and market balancing indicators. The platform aims to make complex market data more accessible and facilitate evidence-based analysis and dialogue among stakeholders.

Professor Theodoros Zachariadis of the Cyprus Institute highlighted that the initiative addresses a crucial gap by providing a practical and transparent information hub. The platform is freely accessible online, supporting informed participation in Cyprus’ evolving electricity market.
