🎉 Livewire launches in Nicosia with inaugural group exhibition Specular Drift
A new artist-run non-profit platform called Livewire has opened in Strovolos, Nicosia, debuting with the group exhibition Specular Drift. Curated by Mikaella Socratous, the show features 22 local and international artists and runs until July 15 at Livewire’s venue on Evangelistrias Street.
Specular Drift is installed across four rooms of the former residential space, creating an evolving atmosphere that explores the nature of digital image rendering and accelerated image production. The exhibition turns these themes into a tangible spatial experience, reflecting on how images shift between conviction and uncertainty.
Mikaella Socratous, founder and director of Livewire, is an artist and curator with a background in installation, painting, sculpture, and scenography. The platform aims to support contemporary artistic practices from Cyprus and beyond through exhibitions, performances, and workshops in its Strovolos space.
