🧒 Health Ministry prioritizes upgrades to paediatric oncology services in Cyprus
Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides announced on Friday that upgrading paediatric and paediatric oncology services remains a top priority for the health ministry. Speaking at a ceremony for the donation of medical equipment to the paediatric oncology unit at Archbishop Makarios III hospital, he expressed gratitude to the Limassol Aphrodite Lions Club for their contribution.
The new patient monitoring equipment is expected to help doctors and nurses better monitor young patients and improve care for children and their families. Charalambides also confirmed that plans are underway to build a new paediatric oncology clinic adjacent to Makarios hospital, with funding from the Cleanthos Foundation.
The minister emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to investing in public health facilities, modern medical equipment, and healthcare staff. These efforts aim to ensure that children across Cyprus receive the highest standard of healthcare services.
