💊 Cyprus Psychologists Association warns against use of unproven bioresonance therapy for mental health

The Cyprus Psychologists Association has issued a warning to the public about the use of bioresonance and other unproven therapies for treating mental health conditions. The Association emphasized that claims of therapeutic benefits from bioresonance, which purportedly rebalances the body's electromagnetic frequencies, lack reliable scientific evidence and are not included in any clinical guidelines by leading medical organizations such as the APA, EFPA, or WHO.

The Association highlighted that mental health disorders like panic attacks and depression require evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and medication when necessary. Alternative therapies without scientific backing can lead to chronic symptoms, delayed proper care, and financial costs without clinical benefit.

Focusing on ethical practice, the Association stressed that psychologists must promote services based on evidence and professionalism rather than commercial interests. It urged the public to verify that therapies are scientifically validated and recognized by reputable organizations before beginning any psychological treatment.
