💰 Cyprus Central Bank shares EU integration insights with Montenegro counterparts
On July 7, the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) hosted the governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Irena Radović, along with a senior delegation to discuss Cyprus' experience with European integration and preparations for joining the Eurosystem. The meeting centered on practical implementation of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) requirements, covering governance, resource allocation, operational efficiency, digital transformation, IT infrastructure, and payment systems.
CBC Governor Christodoulos Patsalides and his Montenegrin counterpart exchanged views on recent economic and financial developments, financial stability, and central banking operations. CBC officials also presented lessons learned from Cyprus' EU accession and euro adoption processes.
