The meeting centered on practical implementation of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) requirements, covering governance, resource allocation, operational efficiency, digital transformation, IT infrastructure, and payment systems.
CBC Governor Christodoulos Patsalides and his Montenegrin counterpart exchanged views on recent economic and financial developments, financial stability, and central banking operations. CBC officials also presented lessons learned from Cyprus' EU accession and euro adoption processes.
This visit is part of Montenegro's ongoing efforts to integrate into the ESCB and Eurosystem. The CBC emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two central banks and expressed commitment to further strengthening their professional relationship.
