This statement follows warnings from the Pasydy trade union last month, highlighting critical issues at Athalassa hospital. The union reported severe staff shortages and overcrowding, with some wards operating at 150% capacity, raising serious safety concerns for both patients and healthcare workers.

Christodoulides noted that his scheduled meeting with Okypy aims to enhance broader public hospital planning and ensure necessary investments to improve treatment conditions, reaffirming the government's commitment to modernizing the healthcare system.
