Hundreds of young swimmers will descend on the Larnaca Olympic swimming pool on July 8 and 9 for World Aquatics Day, showcasing the rising talent of Cyprus' youth. A total of 384 boys and girls, aged nine to twelve, will participate, representing ten nautical clubs and regional teams across the island.

The largest contingents come from Famagusta North Coast with 75 athletes, Larnaca with 64, and Limassol with 54. The Cyprus Swimming Federation highlighted the event's strong turnout as evidence of increasing interest in competitive swimming among young Cypriots.

The program features individual races in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, along with relays. Racing will start each evening at 6:30 pm, promising an exciting display of emerging swimming talent.
