Anastasia Constantinou, a middle-aged woman, achieved top honours in her high school leaving certificate (apolytirio) after decades, attending classes at night school. On Tuesday, Education Minister Athena Michaelidou personally congratulated her, calling her an inspiration to all citizens. Constantinou described completing her education as a lifelong dream and emphasized that success is possible for anyone with the will to achieve it.

Minister Michaelidou highlighted the importance of evening schools within the education system, noting they provide second chances for individuals whose circumstances prevented them from finishing their education earlier. She stated that when individual effort combines with government support, education can become a powerful force for personal and societal change.

Emphasizing that evening schools are a critical element of social cohesion and personal development, Michaelidou reinforced the message that education is an ongoing journey. Constantinou echoed this sentiment, saying, "Education never ends."
