💰 Visa launches Threat Intelligence Platform to help financial institutions detect cyber threats and reduce fraud risk

Visa has introduced the Visa Threat Intelligence Platform (VTIP), a new solution designed to help financial institutions detect and respond to cyber threats that often lead to fraud and financial losses. The platform leverages Visa’s internal cybersecurity capabilities, which currently block about 90 million cyberattacks and 11 million phishing emails monthly worldwide.

VTIP combines cyber and payments intelligence to identify risks early, enabling security, fraud, and risk teams to take action before fraud occurs. The platform offers specialized features such as threat intelligence, vulnerability insights, brand protection, digital identity monitoring, and financial intelligence derived from compromised payment credentials.

Visa’s Country Manager for Cyprus, Michael Ioannides, emphasized that VTIP aims to reduce the damaging impact of fraud and increase confidence in digital payments. By extending its proven internal defenses to clients, Visa continues to strengthen trust and security across the global payments ecosystem.
