👮 Gang targets food delivery drivers in Limassol with multiple robberies

A gang of young individuals is believed to be responsible for five recent robberies targeting food delivery drivers in Limassol. Authorities have collected and are reviewing CCTV footage that appears to capture the group’s activities, focusing their investigation on specific areas where the crimes occurred. Police have intensified checks and ongoing efforts to identify and arrest the suspects.

In the latest incident early this morning in the Petrou and Pavlou area, a 21-year-old delivery driver was violently attacked by three assailants on scooter-type mopeds. The men blocked his vehicle, pulled him out, and beat him before stealing €1,800 in cash. The victim suffered facial injuries and was treated at Limassol General Hospital.

CID investigators have conducted on-site examinations and gathered evidence, including the victim’s account of the events and CCTV footage tracing the perpetrators’ movements. The police aim to determine whether the gang had been monitoring the victim prior to the attack as they continue their pursuit to bring the offenders to justice.
