💊 Frederick University launches recruitment for new School of Medicine with international leadership team

Frederick University has initiated recruitment for academic and leadership positions at its new School of Medicine, set to launch in September 2028. The school will offer a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree based on The University of Manchester's curriculum, marking the first such programme in Europe outside the UK.

The executive leadership team comprises distinguished experts including Professor Dimitris Kardamakis as Founding Dean, Dr. Spyros Pipis as Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs, and John Surrey as Chief Operating Officer. Their extensive international experience will guide the school's establishment, accreditation, and delivery of a student-centred medical education aligned with global standards.

Academic professionals interested in joining the new medical school are invited to express their interest by 15 September 2026. The programme will be housed in a newly developed building on Frederick University's Limassol Campus, reflecting the university's commitment to advancing medical education and healthcare in Cyprus and the wider region.
