👮 53-year-old woman arrested in France over Greek Cypriot property fraud in occupied areas

A 53-year-old foreign woman was arrested in France based on a European arrest warrant issued by the Republic of Cyprus in connection with the investigation of fraudulent claims over Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied territories. French authorities are currently conducting proceedings to determine her extradition to Cyprus.

The woman, identified as a Lithuanian real estate agent residing and working in the occupied areas for about 15 years, was apprehended at Nice Airport while traveling with her daughter. She reportedly shared a video on social media acknowledging her arrest and claimed that she legally established and operated a licensed company in the north of Cyprus according to the law.

The case remains under examination by French authorities, while Cyprus continues to pursue justice for the alleged misappropriation of Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied north of the island.
