Two arrested in Paphos drug raids uncovering cannabis, ecstasy, and cash
Police in Paphos arrested two individuals during raids that uncovered over three kilograms of cannabis, more than 1,000 ecstasy pills, and €42,500 in cash. The first suspect, a 35-year-old man, was found with €42,500, 89 grams of cannabis, 1,133 ecstasy pills, and anabolic substances at his home, along with additional cannabis in his vehicle. He is expected to appear before the Paphos district court.
A second search at a 40-year-old woman's residence revealed 3.47 kilograms of cannabis. She was arrested on the spot and charged but will be summoned to court later. Additionally, a third man, 35, was arrested separately after assaulting police officers during the operations. Although no illegal substances were found at his properties, he remains in custody as investigations continue.
The police are pursuing further inquiries related to the drug case, emphasizing ongoing efforts to combat illegal narcotics in the region.
