Safe Bulkers extends deadline for 2026-2027 maritime scholarships to September 7

Safe Bulkers has extended the application deadline for its 2026-2027 scholarship programme to September 7, 2026. The company is offering ten scholarships worth €10,000 each to students pursuing careers in the maritime industry. The scholarships, part of the company’s ESG policy, target Cypriot citizens and Greek citizens permanently settled in Cyprus, supporting both recent lyceum graduates and university students studying abroad.

The programme supports undergraduate and postgraduate studies in areas including naval architecture, marine engineering, computer science, cyber security, and shipping law. Candidates are selected based on academic merit, financial circumstances, and additional social criteria. Strict minimum academic requirements apply depending on the applicant’s study level and university system.

Interested students can apply online through the company’s scholarship portal and must submit all required supporting documents for final approval. For further queries, applicants are encouraged to contact the scholarship office via email.
