Athanasiou is described as being of average build, approximately 1.75 meters tall, with short black hair and brown eyes.

The police have urged media outlets, especially television stations, to broadcast her photograph alongside the missing person appeal to maximize exposure. Those with any information about Athanasiou's whereabouts are encouraged to contact Morphou police station at 22802528, the nearest police station, or the Citizen’s Line at 1460.
