Six arrests and hundreds of checks during intensified Cyprus police patrols overnight
The Cyprus Police carried out intensive patrols across urban areas last night, resulting in six arrests for crimes including illegal drug possession, unauthorized stay, and failure to appear in court. Police inspected 551 vehicles and 736 individuals during these operations.
Additionally, 46 premises were checked for illegal activities, yielding one official complaint. Traffic enforcement produced 268 citations, with 92 related to speeding, and eight vehicles were impounded. Alcohol testing led to five penalties and one positive preliminary drug test.
