Christina Drakos to Exhibit Figurative Paintings in Limassol from September to November
Christina Drakos will present her solo exhibition titled SOME BODY at the Lumière Contemporary Art Gallery in Limassol, running from September 5 to November 5. The exhibition features a collection of expressive figurative paintings created in her Paris studio, focusing on the human figure through observation, anatomy, and movement. Drakos emphasizes the importance of seeing beyond the physical form, capturing the emotion and presence of her live models in vibrant acrylics and bold brushstrokes.
The artist explains that each painting is a unique encounter, reflecting the body's architecture, rhythm, and silent emotional expression. The exhibition invites viewers to slow down and appreciate the complexity found in everyday gestures. Opening night will be held on September 5 at 7pm, with regular visiting hours Wednesday to Friday from 4pm to 7:30pm and on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm at the Lumière Contemporary Art Gallery.
