Woman Steals Half a Million Euros in Cryptocurrency in Limassol Fraud Case
A woman in Limassol managed to fraudulently transfer half a million euros worth of cryptocurrency from another person's account, initially without detection. The victim had deposited the amount as a guarantee related to a share sale, believing the woman was acting as an intermediary between two companies.
During a meeting regarding the transaction, the suspect deceived the victim, obtained his account credentials, and immediately transferred the cryptocurrency to an unknown account. Authorities from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department conducted thorough investigations, leading to the identification of the woman.
An arrest warrant has been issued against her, along with international and European warrants, as she reportedly left Cyprus on the same day the fraud was committed. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
