Cyprus Police Seize 2kg of Cannabis in Nicosia, Arrest 20-Year-Old Suspect
Cyprus authorities seized approximately two kilograms of cannabis from a courier package that arrived in Nicosia. The discovery was made during an operation by the Cyprus Drug Enforcement Agency aimed at intercepting illegal narcotics entering and being distributed in the country.
Following an intelligence tip-off, drug enforcement officers visited a courier company where the package was delivered. A 20-year-old man arrived to collect the parcel and was immediately arrested. A search of his person uncovered an additional two grams of cannabis.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court, where authorities plan to request his detention. The Cyprus Drug Enforcement Agency's Nicosia division continues its investigations into the case.
