Orchestra Lumiere Presents Cinema in Concert Series Across Cyprus with Free Admission
Orchestra Lumiere is set to present the 'Cinema in Concert' series this September and October, offering audiences a unique blend of film music and live performance. Under the artistic direction of composer Kyriakos Kosta and pianist Marianna Georgiou, the concerts will showcase beloved cinematic melodies, especially focusing on 21st-century compositions with new arrangements.
The series kicks off on September 9 at the Attikon Open-Air Theatre in Paphos and will subsequently visit Melini village on September 11, Simou village on October 2, and Panagia village on October 3. All performances begin at 8pm and feature an ensemble of musicians, including piano, flute, cello, double bass, and percussion.
Complementing the live music, original interactive video art by Andreas Christoforou will enhance the audio-visual experience. Organised by the Municipality of Paphos as part of the Cultural Decentralisation Programme, these concerts are free to attend, making it an accessible cultural event across multiple communities.
