Cypriot economist Panayiotis Agisilaou named Thought Leader by Lexology Index for seventh year
Panayiotis Agisilaou, founder and managing director of Trojan Economics, has been named a Thought Leader by the Lexology Index for the seventh consecutive year. He remains the only economist from Cyprus to receive this top distinction in the Competition – Economists category. The Lexology Index recognition is based on independent research including peer and client feedback, interviews, and data analysis.
In addition to this honor, Agisilaou was also recognized as Recommended in the Consulting Experts – Economics – Competition Economists category, marking two distinctions within the same guide. Agisilaou attributes the award to the rigorous and independent economic analysis his firm applies, combining deep expertise in competition law with real data.
Holding a PhD in Industrial Organisation and Competition Policy, Agisilaou has extensive experience in competition cases and market regulation. Alongside his consultancy work, he teaches at the Open University of Cyprus and will begin teaching at the University of Nicosia in September 2026.
