Rialto Theatre in Limassol Launches Dynamic September Season with Art, Theatre, Dance, and Film
The Rialto Theatre in Limassol resumes its cultural programming this September after a summer break, offering a diverse lineup of events including digital art installations, theatre performances, dance showcases, film screenings, and literary readings. Highlights of the new season include the brutalist choreographic installation LUX_KILL by Suzana Phialas, which transforms traditional theatre space into an interactive digital experience from September 4 to 6.
Additionally, the theatre presents EXPLICIT, a film initiative revisiting provocative works by director Lars von Trier, with screenings and discussions running from September 7 to 9. On September 12 and 13, Louiza Papaloizou’s award-winning novel To Vouni is adapted to the stage, exploring themes of memory and identity. From September 18 to 20, the Cyprus Choreography Showcase will feature recent choreographic works by multiple Cypriot artists.
The month also includes a literary tribute to Giorgos Philippou Pierides on September 23, a musical fusion concert by the Stavros Lantsias Piano Trio on September 25, and concludes with Yasemi Kilaidoni’s powerful adaptation of Alki Zei’s Achilles’ Fiancée on September 27.
