The Festival will conclude on September 10, 2026, with the interdisciplinary performance "LEDRA'S LAMENT," directed by Kris Muhammed Adem. This innovative cross-communal live show combines music, dance, design, and drag art to explore Nicosia's historical and ecological legacy. Set at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, the performance draws inspiration from the ancient city of Ledra and the nearly lost Eteocypriot language.
"LEDRA'S LAMENT" is a site-specific production where performers occupy the amphitheatre seats, challenging traditional audience-performer dynamics. The work delves into the damaged ecosystem of Nicosia, once famed as the city of gardens, and imagines a shared cultural future through a blend of memory, history, and contemporary artistic expression.
