payabl. expands Visa partnership to offer EU and UK merchants real-time dispute resolution tools

European fintech provider payabl. has deepened its collaboration with Visa, enabling merchants across the EU and UK to use Visa’s Rapid Dispute Resolution (RDR) service. This integration allows merchants to resolve payment disputes automatically in real time before they escalate to costly chargebacks. By embedding RDR into payabl.one, merchants can manage disputes and monitor RDR activity from the same platform used for payments and business accounts.

The new service also enables virtual refunds, which can enhance customer experience and reduce operational burdens related to disputes. This expansion is part of payabl.'s strategy to provide merchants with greater control and transparency throughout the payment lifecycle. Given rising fraud-related claims and chargebacks, the collaboration aims to reduce dispute volumes, improve operational efficiency, and maintain customer trust.

Recent reports highlight an increase in first-party misuse fraud and rising costs for merchants dealing with disputes, averaging over $80 per incident. payabl. and Visa emphasized that automating dispute management earlier in the payment lifecycle will help merchants handle disputes more effectively, reduce financial impact, and support long-term business growth.
