Fire in Klirou, Nicosia swiftly contained with minimal damage

A fire that broke out on Sunday afternoon in Klirou, Nicosia district, was brought under full control within approximately 30 minutes, according to the Forestry Department. The fire started at 3:11 pm and was contained by 3:40 pm thanks to the prompt response of forest firefighting teams. The affected area was limited to a small section of dry grass and olive trees. Ten personnel from the Forestry Department along with three fire engines participated in the firefighting operation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
