Motorcyclist from Larnaca dies in head-on collision on Kelli–Troulloi road
A 30-year-old motorcyclist from Larnaca, Georgios Georgiou, died Sunday evening following a head-on collision on the Kelli–Troulloi road. According to police, Georgiou was riding a high-powered motorcycle when he entered a bend and veered into the oncoming traffic lane, colliding with a saloon car carrying four people around 19:30. Preliminary investigations indicate that Georgiou was not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the crash. He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The occupants of the car, including a couple and their two minor children, initially appeared uninjured. The incident remains under investigation.
