Eurobank repurchases over 1.3 million shares in €5.88m buyback on Euronext Athens

Eurobank S.A. conducted a significant share buyback, acquiring more than 1.3 million of its own shares on Euronext Athens between August 17 and August 21, 2026, spending nearly €5.88 million. This repurchase is part of an ongoing buyback program authorized by shareholders during the April 28, 2026 annual general meeting and supported by the board of directors.

The bank repurchased a total of 1,312,998 shares over five trading days, with daily acquisitions ranging from 222,458 to 323,887 shares. The average buying price for the week was approximately €4.48 per share. These transactions were facilitated through Eurobank Equities Single Member Investment Firm S.A. Following this week’s activity, Eurobank's total holdings of repurchased shares now stand at 22,500,675.

The share buyback initiative originally launched with a public announcement in June 2026, aims to optimize the bank's capital structure and support shareholder value. Eurobank’s ongoing repurchases underline its commitment to returning capital to investors while managing its equity base.
