Paphos completes fifth phase of smart QR-code signage at historic sites, including 500-year-old oak tree
The Paphos district has successfully completed the fifth phase of its smart signage programme, installing 23 QR-code signs at various monuments and points of interest, including the 500-year-old ancient oak tree in Fyti. This initiative allows visitors to scan the codes and access multilingual information about the sites, forest conservation, and the benefits of trees through photos and videos.
The programme aims to enhance the visitor experience and promote Paphos as a smart tourism destination. The latest signs have been installed in areas such as Yeroskipou, Akamas, Chloraka, Choli, Salamiou, Simou, and Drousia.
Plans for the sixth phase are already underway, with over 18 additional locations set to receive smart signage in the near future, continuing the district's efforts to integrate technology and cultural heritage for tourism development.
