Cyprus Invites Contemporary Craft Artists for 2027 Paris International Biennale
The Cyprus Handicraft Service is calling for applications from artists specializing in contemporary crafts to represent Cyprus at the 8th “Révélations” International Biennale of Fine Crafts and Creation in Paris, scheduled for May 19-23, 2027. This marks Cyprus's third participation at this prestigious event, which showcases innovative craftsmanship to a global audience.
Organizers aim to highlight the rich cultural heritage of the eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus's unique position at the crossroads of three continents through a curated national pavilion. Eligible submissions include original and distinctive works in materials such as glass, wood, textiles, ceramics, metalwork, stone, leather, and paper. Clothing and accessories are generally discouraged due to lower collector interest.
Applicants must submit a digital portfolio and related materials by September 10, 2026. Selected artists will receive a €700 participation fee plus coverage for transport and promotional expenses. The event offers a valuable platform for Cypriot creators to gain international exposure and engage with collectors and art enthusiasts worldwide.
