Presidential Residence in Troodos to Host Third Annual Pame Troodos Festival on September 6
The Presidential Residence in Troodos will open its doors to the public on Sunday, September 6, for the third year in a row to host the “Pame Troodos 3” festival. Running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event celebrates the people, produce, and traditions of Cyprus's mountain villages. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the historic grounds while engaging with local producers, craftspeople, and makers.
Initiated by First Lady Filippa Karsera Christodoulides, the festival is organised by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the Commissioner’s Office for the Development of Mountain Communities, and the Press and Information Office. Its goals include promoting small businesses, showcasing regional products, and encouraging sustainable development in mountain communities. This year, the festival also supports the Agros Care Home for the Elderly, "I Eleousa," through charitable contributions.
The event features live traditional music, Cypriot verbal duelling known as “tsiattista,” demonstrations of folk instruments, and children's activities, all set against the scenic Troodos mountains. Two free car parks with shuttle services to the residence will be available, and visitors are advised to bring identification to facilitate entry.
