The National Betting Authority (EAS) will host the ninth edition of Safe Gaming Week from October 12 to 18, focusing on raising awareness about responsible gambling. This year's campaign uses four iconic figures from Greek mythology—Odysseas, Achilleas, Midas, and Icarus—to highlight key aspects of human behavior such as self-control, greed, and overconfidence, which impact gambling habits.
EAS aims to shift the discussion from general gambling risks to the early recognition of risky behaviors, emphasizing prevention and safe participation. Throughout the week, the authority will conduct informative and experiential activities to strengthen public awareness and encourage a culture where gambling remains a form of entertainment.
Highlighting personal limits, self-control, and early identification of problematic behaviors as essential protective factors, EAS stresses that setting limits does not restrict play but safeguards the enjoyment of gambling.
