BrainRocket closes Limassol offices, offers employee relocation abroad ending major Cyprus presence
BrainRocket has shut down its offices in Limassol and offered relocation packages to most of its remaining employees, effectively ending its significant presence in Cyprus. The company closed all its facilities in the city over the past month and removed its signage, instructing remaining staff to work remotely. Employees were mainly offered relocation options to Spain or other countries where BrainRocket maintains offices.
This move follows a year-long process that began in summer 2025 when BrainRocket started shifting much of its business from Limassol to Valencia. At its peak, BrainRocket employed around 1,500 people in Cyprus, with over 1,000 affected by the restructuring. While some employees accepted relocation offers, others found new roles within Cyprus's tech and finance sectors. Despite previous assurances that BrainRocket would maintain a sizeable local operation by recruiting new staff, the company’s physical footprint in Limassol has steadily diminished, with recruitment increasingly focused on roles based in Valencia requiring relocation.
