Two arrested in Nicosia for August burglary and theft over €10,000

Two men, aged 41 and 44, were arrested in connection with a burglary in Nicosia that took place in August, involving theft of items valued at over €10,000. The stolen goods included paintings, silver utensils, and furniture from a resident's home.

The 41-year-old suspect was arrested on September 2, after police obtained an arrest warrant following a female relative’s report. During a search of his residence, authorities found and confiscated items believed to be part of the stolen property. He was subsequently remanded in custody for eight days by the Nicosia District Court.

The second suspect, aged 44, was apprehended shortly after midnight on Sunday and appeared in court the same day, where he was granted a five-day remand. The investigation continues as authorities work to recover the stolen items and further establish the suspects' involvement.
