Eurobank repurchases over 1.17 million shares in latest buyback phase
Eurobank S.A. has repurchased 1,179,047 of its own shares for €5.44 million as part of its ongoing share buyback programme. The transactions occurred between August 31 and September 4, 2026, on Euronext Athens through Eurobank Equities Single Member Investment Firm S.A. The average price per share during this period was approximately €4.61.
This buyback initiative was authorized by shareholders in April 2026 and followed parameters approved by the board of directors. The daily repurchase volumes ranged from 209,746 shares on the final day to a peak of 264,781 shares on September 2. Following these purchases, Eurobank's total treasury shares amount to 24,757,258.
The buyback reflects the bank's strategic move to manage its capital base and support shareholder value. It continues to execute the programme progressively via the Athens market, according to filings on both the Cypriot and Greek stock exchanges.
