University of Limassol joins Mitsikouri 2026 Festival promoting inclusion in performing arts
The University of Limassol (UoL) is participating in the Mitsikouri 2026 International Festival of Performing Arts for Children and Young People, emphasizing inclusion, accessibility, and equal cultural participation. The festival, taking place from October 10-18, 2026, across Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, and Famagusta, will feature 14 productions from 11 countries.
A key highlight is the fully-inclusive performance "Helix – The Hanging Garden" from Norway, staged in collaboration with the ENA Foundation and the UoL Centre for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (DEI). Following the final show, a round-table discussion will address barriers in performing arts and explore ways to broaden access and participation.
This collaboration aligns with UoL's commitment to transforming theoretical inclusion into tangible opportunities in culture and the arts. The University views this participation as a meaningful step toward strengthening partnerships between academia, culture, and society to foster more inclusive communities.
